Marvin’s life began on November 17, 1924 in Hunter, MO. He is the son of William E. and Nellie A. (Meek) Conner. Marvin served his country in the United States Army as a staff sergeant during World War II in Indonesia. He was the co-owner of the El Dorado Dairy and a very faithful active member of Temple Baptist Church. Marvin is survived by his loving family which includes his wife Martha Conner of El Dorado, daughter Nancy (Don) Love of Rosalia; grandchildren David (Nelda) Love of Belvidere, IL and Dallas ( Cathy) Love of Cairo, NE; great grandchildren Ruth, A.J. and Benjamin; and siblings Wilma Jackson of Anadarko, OK, Ruth (Johnny) Edgeller of West Plaines, MO, Marjorie (Raymond) Dudley of Pacific, MO and Joanna Corman of West Plaines, MO and many nieces and nephews. Marvin passed away on Saturday September 23, 2017 at Lakepoint of El Dorado. He is preceded in death by his parents, two spouses, two infant sons and nine siblings. His family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. led by Chaplain Roger Megli. He will be laid to rest in Bella Vista Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions in Marvin’s name may be directed to Interim Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
