I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I only knew Kevin through church and always enjoyed it when he played the piano. It made my family very pleased when he played at Donna's service. Mom always thought so much of Kevin. He will be greatly missed and God now has a beautiful angel by his side.

Kevin had so many talents! Thank you for sharing his life with me as his Kindergarten teacher. He was a smart, kind, good boy. I enjoyed visiting with him as he grew into adulthood and it made me extra proud that he became a teacher. So many unanswered questions. God, please grant all of his friends and family peace and comfort. I loved him and so did so many others.

To my dear sweet Kevin: I will never forget our wonderful conversations over coffee. When I met you when you were in 5th grade I could tell then how amazing you were going to be.
Thank you for my sock monkeys, I wish I could have thanked you in person.

Mr. Coash was very special to us. He was not only my son Carson's second grade teacher but also his buddy. Their bond was heart-warming. The love and support he showed to our son was second to none. He taught him to never give up and showed him how hard work pays off. Carson was heartbroken to learn of his passing, but his spirit will live on through the hearts and minds he helped mold. He will be greatly missed by the Derby Hills family as his passing is such a loss for our entire community. With most heart felt condolences, Jason, Lana and Carson Childre

My deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Coash. I had the privilege of getting to know kevin over the last year due to my daughters...... let's just say outgoing personality lol! She is very social and can get way off track and lose sense of respect and consideration. She had many things to learn. At one point she got off track about her schooling as well. Thanx to Kevin we were able to talk once a week throughout the 2nd grade year and come up with solutions and ways to make her a better student and person! With Kevin's help he was able to teach her respect, responsibility, consideration, patients, also better her knowledge and advanced her reading and schooling! Her grades improved and she even made honor roll again this year thanx to mr. Coash! I was so nervous she'd keep slipping and miss it this year! I didn't know many personal things about kevin but I did know he was incredibly kind, smart, thoughtful and above all else put his students first! He spent extra time with my daughter one on one to help her succeed. She was extremely hurt when she heard of his passing we both were because he touched both our lives in a positive way! We will miss him so much! We are very thankful to have had him be apart of our lives however brief. Kevin will be missed but I will never forget what he was able to do for my daughter!

Hi my name is harleyjane, mr coash was a great teacher. I was so sad when my mom told me he died. He was my favorite teacher. I got in trouble a lot but mr coash helped me not get in so much trouble. He helped me be better in my school and I got better grades, he made me believe in myself! He also helped me learn that school Is important if I work hard I can be anything I want to be. Mr coash was so fun and nice, he helped me see that my bad attitude was not just getting me in trouble but hurting people that tried to help me. He helped me see right from wrong and now I'm a good girl and I don't do bad things at school! I wish he could be there next year but I promise to be good so if he is watching from heaven he'll be happy!

Ciera and Harley,
Thank you so very much for your kind notes about my son. He loved all of his students and was very proud of how they had grown during their second grade year. Harley, try hard to work hard every day in school like Mr. Coash taught you and maybe someday YOU can be a second grade teacher! He would really like that.

My heart goes out to the Coash family and friends of Kevin in your time of sorrow. I know Kevin has left you with many precious memories from his 28 short years with us. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Our loving heavenly Father, "Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." The family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences.
I pray it will do your heart good to please watch this beautiful video (song 144) entitled "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/VODChildren/pub-pksn_24_VIDEO
