Isidro’s life began on May 15, 1954 in Camagüey, Cuba; the son of Segundo and Emiliana (Bebert) Alvarez. He was united in marriage to Grace Doreen Martin on February 14, 1980. Isidro worked hard for his family as a heavy equipment operator, retiring from CDH Construction in El Dorado. He was an early riser and enjoyed a morning coffee and cookie. Isidro loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and was a huge fan. He loved to go camping and spend time outdoors, fishing and being with nature. He loved to tend to his goats and horses. Isidro loved to spend time with his grandchildren and sneaking lottery tickets whenever he could. His greatest joy was his family which includes his wife, Grace; children Phillip Dill, Wendy (Denzil) Davis, Dori (Chris) Bowlin, Lila Alvarez, Emi Alvarez and Isidro Alvarez, Jr; 16 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several siblings. Isidro passed away on March 24, 2022 at his home in El Dorado. He is preceded in death by his parents. Friends may gather with the family from 5-7pm on Tuesday, March 29 at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 30 at 10am at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the American Heart Association.
