William Everett (Bill) Shultz 87 years old, of Potwin, Ks. passed away peacefully at home on Sunday August 16, 2020. He was born in Osawatomie, Kansas on March 9, 1933 to Jerome and Martha (Ford) Shultz. From the time Bill was 15 months old, till he was out of High School he was raised by his Aunt Dora (Ford) and Uncle Stanley (Jack) Rowe of Osawatomie, Kansas.
On June 21, 1951 Bill married Patricia Jo Ann Coleman in Osawatomie, Ks. They were married for 24 year, until her untimely death in 1975. To this union 3 daughter were born. On December 19, 1983 Bill married Evelyn Young-Swogger in Potwin, Kansas. They were married for 37 years.
In 1954 Bill and Patricia moved to El Dorado, Kansas so Bill could go to work at Fina-Pester Refinery. He worked there for 31 years and served as a President of the OCAW 5-241 Local Union. Then he worked for Blackburn Construction, Merit Construction, I M S Construction and Lubrication Engineers.
Bill is survived by his wife Evelyn and daughters, Bertha (Shultz) Brandon of Potwin, Ks. Ruth (Shultz) Engels of Owasso, Ok., Sue (Shultz) Scheier of Surprise Az. and husband Larry Scheier of Andover, Ks. Sisters Georgia Drew of New York State and Helen Mc Daniel of Olathe, Ks. Grandchildren Clay Markee of Towanda, Ks., Matt Engels of Augusta, Ks., Annie (Engels) and husband Joe Peterson of Murrieta, Ca., Tricia (Scheier) and husband Spencer Lee of Towanda, Ks., Veronica (Scheier) and husband Andrew Goodrich of Surprise, Az. And Amy Scheier of Wichita, Ks. He also has 7 Great-Grandchildren, many Niece, Nephews and Friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his Parents, Aunt and Uncle, first Wife Patricia, Grandson Courtney Markee, and Great-Grandson Oscar Peterson.
