William “Bill” Herbison’s life began on October 29, 1943 in Leon, KS; the son of Merl B. and Martha L. (Lister) Herbison. He attended Leon schools and worked hard for his family. Bill worked in the oilfields and later came to own his own body shop repair business called Detail Body Shop in El Dorado. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline DeVries in 1962. Bill enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding and camping. His family includes his wife, Jaqueline “Jackie” Herbison of El Dorado, niece Linda and nephews, Brian and Harry. Bill passed away on January 1, 2023 in Wichita. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters. Friends may gather with the family from 5-7pm of Friday, January 6 at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on January 7, 2023 at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home at 10am. Bill will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado. Memorial contributions may be directed to the El Dorado Animal Shelter.
