Walter R. Hanks

Walter R. Hanks was born on July 18, 1942 in Emporia, Kansas. He was the son of Owen J. and Helen (Teitz) Hanks. Walter faithfully served his country in the United States Marines. He married the former Twila Pearson on September 16, 1978. His loving family includes his wife, Twila Hanks; sons, Kenneth (Jennifer) Hanks, Kevin Hanks and Fredrick Cox; daughters, Katherine Miller and Stacy (Larry) Jesseph; 18 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Walter passed away on June 25, 2019 and is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother and 1 sister. His graveside service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2018 at Walnut Valley Memorial Park at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
