Tribute

Vicki’s life began on May 5, 1954 in Eureka, KS; the daughter of Harry L. and Helen M. (Angle) Coffel. She attended Butler Community College. Vicki was united in marriage to Michael G. Coash on July 6, 1985. Vicki was an industrious person. She was heavily invested in the First Presbyterian Church of El Dorado where she served both as an Elder and Deacon. She also served on the funeral meal committee, she helped organize the Community Pizza Dinners, worked with the 150 year Anniversary Celebration Worship and Personnel committee, Vacation Bible School and Sunday School. Vicki also participated as a leader in the Boy and Girl Scouts. She was a parent volunteer for the El Dorado Sea Dragons swimming team, involved in the El Dorado Schools Fine Arts programs and she served on the El Dorado School Board for over 16 years. Vicki also was a member of the PTO and PTA and enjoyed KU basketball. Her greatest joy was her family which includes her daughter Melissa Coash of El Dorado; grandchildren Brodi M. Coash and Bentli K. Coash; siblings Carol (Howard) Gernant of Grey Bull, WY, Clint Coffel of Wellington, brother in law Steve (Rosalie) Coash of Weeping Water, NB; mother in law Donna Coash of Clyde, KS, brother in law James (Teri) Coash of Concordia, sister in law Gina (Gary) Hamm of Wichita as well as several nieces and nephews. Vicki passed away on March 20, 2020 in El Dorado. She is preceded in death by her son Kevin Coash, husband Michael Coash, her parents, sister Sue Roberson and father in law Gene Coash. Friends may gather at the Carlson Funeral Home from 5-7pm on Wednesday, March 25. In the interest of our community all visitations/funerals/memorial services/gatherings of any type will be limited to no more than 10 people per Governor Kelly. Staff will be on hand to monitor the gathering space so that everyone may have a chance to attend safely. We are actively monitoring our local Covid-19 situation and will let you know as things change. We apologize for any inconvenience. Private graveside services will be held. A memorial celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Melissa for Brodi and Bentli’s Education Fund or to the First Presbyterian Church of El Dorado.
