Tribute

Vance “Neal” Cornelias Tipton, 68, went to be with the Lord June 24th, 2021. He was born August 27th, 1952 in Bakersfield, CA to his mother, Norma Jean Harkins and father, L.C. Vance Tipton. Neal is proudly registered with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He retired from the Boeing Company and Spirit Aerosystems in 2015. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his purple martins. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking and riding his motorcycle. “Papa” was a loving grandfather who especially loved spending time with his twelve grandkids. He never met a stranger; he welcomed everyone he met as if they were family. His kind heart influenced everyone he came in contact with. Neal is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laurel Tipton. He leaves behind his wife, Wanda (Heinze), married April 25th, 2009. He is survived by his children, Jeremiah (Cecilia) Tipton, Jennifer (Darby) Kiley, Annalee & Jessica Tipton; sisters, Maurise Scharton and Tammi Tipton; stepmother, Betty Tipton. He also leaves behind his step children, Tiffany (Chance) Elliott, Michael and Mark Diemart. Loved ones may gather from 1:00-3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 30th at Carlson Colonial Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm. Neal will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado at a later date.
