Nadine’s life began on October 15, 1952, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Carpenter) Tholen in Oakley, Kansas. She was disabled and attended Oakley Schools until the second grade. She worked in the Flint Hills workshop before she retired. Nadine loved horses, traveling, and shopping. She enjoyed making ceramic pieces and crafts. Every holiday that came along Nadine was ready to decorate for the occasion. She would string lights and loved bright colors to decorate her room.
Her loving family includes her brother, Joseph Tholen of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sisters, Cathey Mora and Phyllis Tholen both of Wichita, Kansas and Rose Bohenkamp of Omaha, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Daniel Tholen. Nadine passed away, Tuesday, April 3, 2018, having reached the age of 65 years old.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Hysom officiating. Inurnment will be held in Highland Cemetery in Wichita at a later date.
