Stephen "Steve" Craig Brooks

Stephen “Steve” Brooks’ life began on May 15, 1947 in Wichita, KS; the son of Glen and Florence “Toots” (Burright) Brooks. Steve worked hard for his family and had an industrious spirit. He worked tirelessly in the oilfields as a mechanic. Steve was united in marriage to Judith “Judy” Harris on May 31, 1970 in Wichita. He enjoyed his guns, watching Westerns and reading Western books. His greatest joy was his family which includes his children Diana (Larry) Luginbill of Ft. Worth, TX, Michael Brooks of Wichita, Jennifer (Todd) Dufoe of Towanda; grandchildren Amy, Brandon, Alyssa, Stephen, Isaac, Ciara, Jake, Trystn, Toby, Jeromy and Jarret; and 4 great-grandchildren. Steve passed away on January 24, 2021 at his home in Towanda. He is preceded in death by his wife Judy; grandchildren Domnyk and Justis. Friends may gather at the Towanda Cemetery on Friday, January 29 at 11am where a graveside service will be held. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Kidney Association.
