Sharon’s life began on October 16, 1946 the daughter of Raymond V. and Bessie (Lamb) Ross in El Dorado, KS. She attended high school in El Dorado. Sharon was united in marriage to Daniel Jones in Augusta, KS in 1960. She faithfully looked after her home and her family. She was a devout member of the First Church of the Nazarene in El Dorado. Sharon loved her animals and took care of as many as she could. Sharon was a woman who was strong in her faith constantly seeking the opportunity to minister to others. Sharon went to be with her Lord on January 28, 2018 in Catawba, North Carolina. Her loving family includes her son Daniel (Donna) Jones of Catawba, N.C; grandchildren Derrick Jones, Keeley Jones, Kameron Jones, Julie Simpson, Brad Simpson and Steven Simpson; great-grandchildren Hayden, Parker and Colton; mother Bessie Ross; siblings Billy Ross, Jim Ross, Vernon Ross, Coletta Wilhite and Patricia Hinkle. Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; son Darrell and Jody Jones and granddaughter Britney. Friends may gather with the family from 9-10:30 am on Friday, February 2 at Carlson Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 11 am at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado.
