Shane Steinkamp

Shane’s life began on July 14, 1970 in Denver, CO. He is the son of Danny L. and Marilyn R. (Struck) Steinkamp. He attended college at Dodge City Community College and graduated from St. Mary’s of the Plains with a degree in communication. Shane had a great love of sports and coaching, especially softball. His loving family includes his mother Marilyn R. Steinkamp of Wichita, children Kyler (Bailey) Steinkamp of Emporia and Teresa ( Trey Cary) Steinkamp of El Dorado; siblings Kim ( John) Hollander of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Chad (Estie) Steinkamp of Andover; nieces and nephews Jack and Hannah Hollander and Jenna and Jacob Steinkamp. Shane passed away on September 10, 2018 at his home. He is preceded in death by his father Danny. Family and friends will gather on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover for his Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Kent Hemberger. Shane will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Augusta. Carlson Colonial Funeral Home is serving the family. Memorial contributions in Shane’s name may be directed to the Shane Steinkamp Memorial Fund for his children’s education in care of Carlson Funeral Home.
