Ruth "Punki" Walker

Ruth “Punki” Walker’s life began on April 20, 1947 the daughter of Alvin Anderson and Erma Lanam in El Dorado. She was united in marriage to Gary Walker on November 24, 1968 at Temple Baptist Church in El Dorado. Punki enjoyed spending time at her pool and was an avid reader of true crime novels. Her greatest joy in life was her family which includes her husband Gary of El Dorado; daughter Michelle (Charlie) Genter of Leon; son Keith Walker of El Dorado; grandchildren Mallory Genter, Macee Genter, Hunter Genter, Garrett Scates and great-granddaughter Myla Hutson. Punki passed away on May 18, 2019 at her home. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Jackie Lanam, Betty Smith and brother Donnie Anderson. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Carlson Funeral Home. Punki will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
