Ronald "Ronnie" Gene VanBuren

El Dorado, KS – Van Buren, Ronald G, age 87, passed away Thursday, October 29th, 2020. Ronnie was born January 22nd, 1933 in Florence, Kansas to Robert & Estella Van Buren. He was the 3rd of 10 children. While serving in the United States Army, Ronnie was united in marriage to Delores Yoakem on July 3rd, 1954 in Marion, Kansas. To this union 4 children were born. Thirty Seven of the following years were spent working at the El Dorado Refinery. He enjoyed work and many of the lifelong relationships formed there. Following his retirement in 1993, Ronnie and Delores spent quality time with their Grandkids, camping, taking care of the family farm, and traveling to Texas in the winter time. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and sisters. Survivors include: Wife, Delores Van Buren, El Dorado, KS; Rick (Morleen) Van Buren, Lawrence, Kansas; Pam (Randy) Blackwell, Altamont, KS; Mark (Cindy) Van Buren, El Dorado, KS; Debbie (Quentin) Ensz, Potwin, KS; eleven grandchildren Sarah, Brian, Scott, Alison, Justin, Kyle, Samantha, Morgan, Amanda, Audrey, Todd; and twelve geat-grandchildren.
