Robert “Rob” Allen Hatter, of El Dorado, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 56. Rob was born on November 11, 1965 in Wichita, Kansas to Jim and Donna (Leisure) Hatter. Rob was a runner, competing in numerous races and an avid deer hunter. He loved listening to music, watching movies, traveling, camping and cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders during football season. He was always the life of the party and could often be found drinking beer with his many friends in the driveway. Rob was lucky enough to meet the love of his life in Dana Kimbel and they shared 24 wonderful years together. He worked for various railroad companies throughout his life, including Union Tank Car and BNSF Railroad, repairing the rail cars, and most recently he worked for Holly Frontier as an operator in the PUG unit.
Rob is survived by his father, Jim Hatter; siblings, Ron Hatter and Shelley (Phillip) Elliott; wife, Dana Kimbel; stepsons, Andrew and Jeremy Polley; grandson, Brendyn Polley; confidant and niece, Dani; his yorkie babies, Dezi, Ozzie, Missi, Kasie; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Rob is preceded in death by his mother, Donna and yorkie baby, Josie.
Memorial donations in Rob’s name can be made to either the Kansas Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 5-7pm with a funeral service to follow at 1pm on Thursday, January 6, 2022, both at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Leon Cemetery, Leon Kansas.
