Robert Eugene Grissom was born on January 28, 1961 in Fredonia, Kansas; the son of Jack Alexander and Delores Fay (Scarth) Grissom. He graduated from Yates Center High School. On August 17, 1991, he married Debra Cody in El Dorado, Kansas. He began working on the farm at a young age and carried that work ethic through his entire life. Robert was a hardworking man, most of his life he held two jobs at a time. If he wasn’t working, he was out working in his yard and barbequing for his family. His greatest joy in life was his family, which includes, his wife, Debra “Debbie” of the home; daughter, Ashley Grissom of Wyoming; son, Charles and wife, Brianna Grissom of El Dorado; granddaughter, Aria Grissom; sisters, Joyce (Jim) Pitts of California and Linda Haggin of Utah; brothers in law, Carl, Robert, and Dale Cody; and many nieces and nephews. Robert passed away on March 15, 2022 in Wichita, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Cody-Grissom; and four brothers. Friends may gather with family on Friday, March 25 at Carlson Funeral Home from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be held at Carlson Colonial Chapel on Saturday, March 26 at 1 pm; burial will follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
