Tribute

Rick’s life began on April 1, 1953 in Alley Springs, MO; the son of Guern and Lela (Burgin) Hodge. Rick dedicated his life to service and protected his community working for Sedgwick County Law Enforcement, retiring after 22 years of service. In retirement, Rick enjoyed making connections within his community through Rick Hodge Real Estate and raising Charolais cattle. Rick was united in marriage to Jan Bossingham on March 15, 2013 in Eureka Springs, AR. He loved his family, Jan and his friends dearly. Rick was exceptionally proud of his children and grandchildren. He had a servant’s heart, always seeking those in need and ministered to them by leading a life rooted in faith and in an unwavering belief in Jesus Christ. Rick’s strong spirit and kind heart led him to demonstrate his faith in his every day life. Rick’s greatest joy was his family, which includes his wife, Jan of El Dorado; children Gina (Richard) Darby of Mississippi, Rick (Melissa) Hodge Jr of Wichita, Ryan (Alison) Hodge of Wichita; grandchildren Kaitlyn (Jake) Quigley, Kama Koehn, Daphne Hodge, Elise Hodge, Beckett Hodge, Kylie Hodge, Levi Hodge, Cason Clark, Callee Clark, and Colton Hodge; step grandchildren, Tyler Grommesh, Chris Darby, Amber Darby, Alex Darby; siblings Thelma Jean Crider, Jim Hodge, Harold Hodge, Paul Hodge, Colleen Nikkari, Sonja Hodge-Owen, Tony Hodge, Cody Hodge, Stoney Hodge and Dan Taylor; his children’s mothers, Karen Powell-Grimes and Denise Hodge.
