Richard “Rick” Riley’s life began on October 21, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri; the son of Orville and Doris (Sutton) Riley. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Rick worked hard for his family as a field operator and retired from Holly Frontier Refinery. He was united in marriage to Virginia “Ginger” Riley in July of 1961. Rick was a faithful parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. His family includes his children, Penny Riley of Texas, Kathleen Price of El Cajon, CA, John Riley of Missouri and David Riley of El Dorado; grandchildren Joshua Riley, Maria Riley, Chelsea Bell and Devyn Riley along with several great-grandchildren. Rick passed away on May 8, 2021 in El Dorado. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ginger and his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 20 at 1pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Rick will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the Kansas Honor Flight or to the American Legion Post #81 in El Dorado.
