Rebecca Lynn Myers

Rebecca’s life began on July 6, 1953, the daughter of Reece O’Dell and Joyce Marie (Brown) Myers at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. Becky graduated from Wichita West High School Class of 1971. She worked as a subscription clerk for the Wichita Eagle for 18 years. She loved to square dance, play bingo, watch HGTV, play cards, visit with friends and loved her nieces and nephews.

Her loving family includes her sisters, Kathy Myers of El Dorado, Karen Myers (Alice Dreier) of Emporia and Lisa Walls of Wichita; nephew, Zachary Walls; great nephew, Couper Walls, great-nieces, Alayna and Natalia Walls and lots of cousins; her best friend, Elizabeth “Beth” Houck of El Dorado; her fur babies, Bagheera, Tudie and Ivy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reece and Joyce Myers and grandparents, Roy and Helen Brown and Lyle F. “Bill” and V. Maxine Myers. Becky passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2019, having reached the age of 65 years old.

Her family will gather with friends on Saturday, June 1, from noon until 1:00 p.m. at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home where her service will follow at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Lone Star Cemetery in Bloomington, Kansas.
