Raymond L. Day was born on December 10, 1930 in Barry County Missouri, the son of Henry B. and Sarah Alma (Mullins) Day. He was saved and baptized in 1950 and a year later married the love of his life on April 19, 1951 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Raymond would watch the Kansas City Royals with his wife but especially liked being outdoors tending to their garden and mowing. He was a dedicated and loyal employee to his job for 33 years and enjoyed his vacation time hunting, fishing, riding horses, and especially attending a good rodeo. His greatest joys in life were his family, which includes; Wife, Luma (Brown) Day of El Dorado; Daughters, Cheryl (Gary) Nace of Augusta, Carol (Jerry) Overley of Wichita, Celia (Mark) Ralston of Wichita; Son, Ray Day of Towanda; Siblings, Pauline Cooper of Neosho, Missouri, Geraldine Farris of Wheaton, Missouri, Ronald (Deanna) Day of Purdy, Missouri; Grandchildren, Kyle (Cheri) Nace, Darrin (Rebekah) Nace, Mallory Ralston, Grant (Kelsey) Ralston, Nathan Ralston, Travis Overley, Brad Overley; Great-Grandchildren, Dallas Lane, Justin Nace, Mikah Nace, Tucker Nace, Cooper Nace, Madison Nace, Lauren Overley. Raymond went to his eternal home with the Lord on October 1, 2019 at the age of 88, peacefully at home. He is proceeded in death by his parents and three older brothers, Paul Day, Edmond Day and Lloyd Day. Family and friends may gather on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Carlson Funeral Home for a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at Carlson Funeral Home on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM lead by Pastor Gene Kaufman.
