Othello L. Ball’s life began on April 6, 1946 in Holly Grove, Arkansas; the daughter of Alfonso N. and Rozella (Houston) Brown. Othello worked hard for her family and had a servant’s heart working as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. She loved potting her plants and tending to them. She loved playing bingo, eating and spending time with her family. Her true pride and joy was her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Othello’s loving family includes her children Kenneth R. Adams of Phoenix, AZ, Kimberly Brown of El Dorado, Jason Brown of El Dorado, Lisa Ball Collins of North Richland Hills, TX and Tyrone Adams of El Dorado; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Deacon Poe (Penny) Brown of El Dorado and Loree (Mac) Rice of El Dorado as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family, all whom loved her dearly. Othello went on to her heavenly reward on August 29, 2021 in North Richland Hills, Texas. She is preceded in death by siblings Alonzo Brown, Juanita Thomas, Lugene Brown and her parents. Friends may gather with the family from 5-7pm on Thursday, September 9 at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10 at 11am at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in Othello’s name may be directed to the Haltom City Senior Center of Texas.
