Nelda Jean Carlisle

Nelda Jean (McClure) Carlisle, 73, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Friday, March 29, 2019, in Bartlesville, Okla. She was born on June 11, 1945 in Leadville, Mo., to Fred and Lula (Gooden) Henderson. She was raised in El Dorado, attending the First Baptist Church from age four through her early 20's, and graduated with the El Dorado High School Class of 1963. She was reunited and married to the love of her life, Don Carlisle, in 2010.
Nelda retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a postmistress. She enjoyed volunteer work with several women’s organizations. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Robert Henderson.
Nelda is survived by: husband, Don; children, Todd McClure and wife Angela, Cherrida Williams, Tommy McClure and wife Correna, Scott Henderson and wife Teresa; granddaughters, Molly, Chelsea, Megan Alexis, and Taylor; grandsons, Dustin, Spencer and Tristan; numerous great-grandchildren. Her family will gather with friends on Thursday April 25, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Carlson Colonial Funeral Home for her memorial service.
