Nancy Elaine Blaine

Tribute

Nancy Elaine Blaine was born on March 23, 1950 in Fort Scott, Kansas; the daughter of Amos and Marjorie “Marge” (Funk) Marsh. She received her Masters Degree in Divinity and went throughout her career identifying as an American Baptist Minister. She spoke the word of God in several different organizations including K-State, KU, Hospice and finally retiring as co-pastor from Park Avenue Baptist Church in El Dorado. Nancy was united in marriage to Michael “Mike” Blaine on January 24, 1970 at the First Baptist Church in El Dorado. Music was her ministry. Nancy was musically gifted and her family and friends will forever remember her beautiful soprano voice and her talent on piano. Her greatest joy in life was people, especially her family, which includes, her husband, Mike Blaine of the home; children, Christana (Jeff) Austin of Prospect and Cory (Jennifer) Blaine of Ottawa; grandchildren, John Michael, Stephanie and Tiffany McGivern and Isaac, Owen and Aaron Blaine; great grandson, John Michael McGivern, Jr.; and siblings, Gene (Connie) Marsh, Larry (Joyce) Ray, Carl Ezra Marsh, Annette (Rusty) Streeter and James (Renee) Marsh. Nancy was called home to her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services held at this time. A celebration of her life will be planned for later. Memorial contributions can be directed to Frontal Temporal Dementia Research in care of the Dementia Organization.
