Mickey Lynn Hacker

December 25, 1945 ~ December 9, 2020 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Tribute

Mickey Lynn Hacker was born on Dec 25, 1945 to Everett and Mae Miller. She grew up in Newton, KS with her brothers, Ben and Louie. They were a close knit family who knew how to laugh. She graduated from Newton Highland School in 1963. She married Bill Creamer (now deceased) and gave birth to two sons: Will in 1967 and Nathan in 1970. She graduated from the school of nursing at Hesston College in 1982. She enjoyed her job as a nurse at a psychiatric hospital and stayed there despite being injured by patients several times. She married David Hacker in 1985. He thought she was the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen and couldn’t take his eyes off of her the first time they met. They had Kyle in 1987.

Mickey was completely devoted to her family and would sacrifice for their benefit. She would leave notes, make calls and give gifts to express her heart. She loved nothing more than to travel with her family. She would smile with contentment while talking with her husband and sons or while surrounded by her grandchildren. She’d slip candy to the children and chuckle at their excitement. To know Mickey was to love her.

She loved God and was grateful for his mercy and goodness to her. She would frequently testify, “I‘ve got to make it to heaven. “ She was faithful to give God glory.

Mickey was feisty. She loved horses and new adventures. She was proud that she went horseback riding along the ocean in Oregon at 74 years old. Then she joked that she wouldn’t say how she got off the horse.

Mickey went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2020. She is deeply missed by her husband David; her brother Ben and his wife Arona; her sons Will, Nathan, and Kyle; her daughters (in law) Sonya and Kim; her 12 grand children; and a multitude of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Louie. Donations are requested in lieu of flowers. They can be sent in her name to either the Wesleyan Holiness Alliance Church in Wichita or the Salvation Army.
