Meretta "Mert" O'Donnell

Meretta Cornell O’Donnell (Poage) daughter of Ray & Ivah (Guthrie) Poage was born on October 18, 1938 in Norton Kansas and passed away on June 1, 2018 in Whitewater Kansas.
Meretta grew up in the Almena area and graduated from Almena Rural High School. She moved to Denver Colorado for work and attended school at Denver University.
On January 22, 1965 she married LeRoy O’Donnell. The marriage would welcome two sons; Lance (married to Meredith) and Lynn (married to Janet) O’Donnell.
Proceeded in death by her parents; sister Patricia Jean; brothers David and Gary Poage; her husband LeRoy in 2001.
Survivors include sons, Lance and Lynn; sister Evadean Huff, Brother Darnell Poage, grandchildren Heath, Jolene, Erin, Della, Reagan, and five great grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. Memorials have been established through Kirby – Morris Funeral Homes for Grace Lutheran Church, Rainbows United, and the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland.
