Marilyn Renee Reiserer, 81, of El Dorado passed away on January 15, 2020
Marilyn was born on October 15, 1938 to Helen and Alvin Burnham in Eureka, Kansas, she was the oldest of seven children. She graduated from Eureka High School in 1956, and married Jim Reiserer, the love of her life. Marilyn loved her family with everything she had and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren the most. Marilyn’s work career in the County Clerk’s Office at the Butler County Courthouse spanned for over 30 years until she retired in June, 2002.
Surviving are her daughters, Robin Carleton, El Dorado, Kandy (Mike) Briggs, Manhattan, and Jamie Bohannon, Wichita. Grandchildren are Weston (Terrysa) Carleton, Augusta, KS, Whitney Luck, St. Petersburg, FL, Matthew (Kylie) Briggs, Kansas City, Jessica (Kyle) Yakubisin, Kansas City, and Noah Bohannon, Manhattan, KS. Great Grandchildren, Huxley Carleton and Everett Briggs. Sisters, Dixie Gilson of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Rochelle (Gary) Denner of Golden, Colorado, brothers, Mike (Joyce) Burnham, Great Bend, KS, Max Burnham, Madison, KS, and Daryl Burnham, El Dorado, KS, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Reiserer, one brother, Jim Burnham and parents, Helen and Alvin Burnham.
A memorial service will be held at Carlson Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 10:30 AM and a private graveside service following at Sunset Lawns Cemetery. The family wishes to sincerely thank Amedysis Hospice for the wonderful care and support given, especially Hospice RNCM Vicki Weathers, Hospice Aide Coresia Kirkendoll , and Dr. Amy Seeber.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
