Lucille’s life began on February 7, 1939 in Yates Center, KS. She is the daughter of William Schomaker and Wilma I. (Wells) Stolhand and stepfather Bill Stolhand. She attended school in Towanda and united in marriage to Claud W. Thomas on August 2, 1961 in Newkirk, OK. Lucille was a homemaker. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, crossword puzzles, keeping up with her grandchildren and was very active in the El Dorado Senior Center. Her greatest joy was her family which includes her children Tim (Bebee) Thomas of El Dorado, Anthony C. (Cheri) Thomas of El Dorado, Tom (Sheila) Thomas of Wichita, and Tina (Glen) Barnum of Augusta; grandchildren Tabitha (Eric) Hazen, Tyler (Keelie) Thomas, Chasity (Mike) Roberts, Shayne Thomas, Brett (Tiffany) Thomas, Claire Thomas, Savannah (Chris) Lewallen, and McKenzie (Travis) Holmes; 14 great grandchildren; siblings Frank (Janice) Schomaker, Mary (Darrell) Young, Louise Campbell, Brenda Dodson, and Willey (Kenetha) Stolhand and many nieces and nephews. Lucille passed away at her home on February 22, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband Claud Thomas, her parents and brother John Schomaker.
