Tribute

Lori Ann Kelly was born on September 15, 1963 in Winfield, KS the daughter of Edwin and Kathryn (Weller) Travnicek. She graduated from Circle High School class of 1982. She was a beloved bartender for many years at the Blue Goose Tavern and El Dorado VFW. Lori was also in food service at the El Dorado Correctional Facility, El Dorado High School and Circle High School. More recently, she was a weighmaster at Bob Bergkamp Construction. On March 1, 2008, she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Kelly in El Dorado. Lori was a proud member and former officer of the VFW Auxiliary post #1174 and over the years she had enjoyed her service there, especially with the Celebration of Freedom breakfasts and Thanksgiving dinners. She has always had a love for animals with several throughout the years that she treated as family. She was a loving wife, sister and aunt. She enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews play sports. Lori was one of the biggest Kansas Jayhawk basketball fans and enjoyed being able to meet Bill Self and her favorite player, Devonte Graham. Her greatest joy in life was her family which includes her husband, Jeff Kelly of El Dorado; brother, Eric (Jennifer) Travnicek of Wichita; sister, Cindy (Eric) Hollinger of Towanda; brothers in law, Don (B.J.) Kelly of Lawrence and Mike Kelly of El Dorado; nieces and nephews, John Travnicek of Kearney, Nebraska, Cody Travnicek and Chrissy Travnicek of Wichita, Ashley Hollinger and Eric Hollinger of Towanda and Michael Kelly of El Dorado. Lori passed away on January 21, 2023 in Wichita. Preceding her in death are her parents. Celebration of Lori’s life will be on Friday, January 27 at 10:00 am at Carlson Colonial Chapel. The family will greet guests immediately following the service at Kirby-Morris Life Tribute Center. Memorial contributions may be directed to Tunnels to Towers.
