Lloyd’s life began on May 4, 1966 in El Dorado, KS; the son of Lloyd F. and Alona (Sammons) Turner, Sr. Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Deanna Storm on July 20, 1985 in El Dorado. Lloyd proudly owned and operated Turner’s Doughnuts and brought a smile to countless customers. He always had a way of making his customers feel like family. To many, Lloyd was known as “The Doughnut Man” but to those closest to him, he was a dad, a grandfather and a husband. Lloyd enjoyed coaching soccer and baseball for all four of his boys. He sponsored and supported their activities all throughout school. He enjoyed jet skiing on El Dorado Lake and spending time outdoors. Lloyd enjoyed camping and motorcycle riding. He loved his dogs Bella and Laycee. Above all, Lloyd loved his family deeply. His loving family includes his wife, Deanna of El Dorado; children Adam (Jessica) Turner of El Dorado, Andrew Turner of Wichita, Anthony Turner of Wichita, Aaron Turner of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren Ian Turner, Oliver Turner, Mason Turner and Jaxson Turner; sister, Patsy (Swain) Boyce of El Dorado; brother, William “Bud” Turner of Leon; father Lloyd Turner, Sr; as well as a host of extended family and friends that will miss Lloyd dearly. Lloyd passed away on September 23, 2022 in Wichita. He is preceded in death by his mother Alona Turner; his grandparents; several aunts and uncles and father-in-law Ollen Storm. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 3, at 10am at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Carlson Colonial Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses or to the Kansas Humane Society.
