Linda Edwards

Linda Sue Edwards was born on March 11, 1961 in El Dorado, Kansas the daughter of Ira “Lee” LeRoy and Virginia (McDuffie) Roberts. Linda received her Associates in Early Childhood Development from Butler Community College and has been employed by USD 490 for the last 18 years as a para educator. She married Douglas Alan Edwards on June 15, 1990 at Park Avenue Baptist Church in El Dorado. Linda was a very Godly woman. She enjoyed attending church, high school functions, raising chickens and gardening were some of her favorite hobbies. Most of all Linda loved spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Doug Edwards; daughter, Rachel Edwards; son, Jacob Edwards; sisters, Dena McCarthy and Teresa Mitchell; sister in law, Diane Lynn (Steven) McNeill and grand dogs, Lady and Scout. Linda passed away on August 4, 2019 in Wichita. She is preceded in death by her parents; niece, Christen McCarthy and nephew, Christopher Roberts. Friends and family may gather on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 5:00-7:00PM at Carlson Funeral Home. Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Carlson Colonial Chapel on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 10:00AM led by Pastor Jurdan Counts. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence, Kansas.
