Kenneth James Wehry

Kenneth James Wehry (Peewee) of El Dorado, Kansas passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the age of 46. Kenneth was born on July 9, 1975 in El Dorado, Kansas; the son of Kenneth A. and Arlene (Wyman) Wehry. Kenneth grew up in Potwin, Kansas and attended Remington High School. Kenneth married the love of his life, Sheila Smith on March 15, 2003. Together they built a beautiful life, raising their children, Kenneth “Michael” Wehry and Matthew Evan Wehry.

Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family camping. He also loved taking his boys and nephews fishing and hunting. He really enjoyed bowling, he started at a very young age and later taught his wife and children how to bowl. He also loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs play football.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sheila Smith; children, Kenneth “Michael” Wehry and Matthew Evan Wehry; sister, Sara Wehry; nephews, Dustin Wehry and Jay Strasser; along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth A. and Arlene (Wyman) Wehry; brother, Terry (Renata) Wehry; father in law, Nathan Smith and brother in laws, David Smith and Jason Strasser.

Memorial donations in Kenneth’s name can be directed to Sheila Wehry to defray medical expenses and to help care for Kenneth’s children.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. It will be officiated by Pastor Lonny Satterfield. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
