Kelly Wade Burtin

June 28, 1963 ~ May 21, 2019 (age 55) 55 Years Old

Tribute

Kelly’s life began on June 28, 1963 in Lebanon, MO; the son of Bertam E. and Lenora A. (Wilson) Burtin. Kelly was united in marriage to Jaci Brooks on May 4, 2001 in El Dorado. He was hardworking and always finished what he started. Kelly was one of a kind whose heart was as big as the outdoors. He was always generous with his time and talents, such as welding and electrical work. Kelly was known for having his CTs at the ready and handing out pairs with holsters if you did not have a pair. When Kelly was younger, he enjoyed riding bulls and later in retirement, he enjoyed watching bull riding and rodeo on television. Kelly also enjoyed pulling pranks and getting into interesting situations with Mr. Leon. He also had his own special gum that had two different flavors but tasted best chewing both. Kelly maintained a meticulous yard and would often be found handing out popsicles or tomatoes fresh from the garden. If he wasn’t in his yard, he could be found in his man-cave in the garage. Kelly’s greatest joy in life was his family, which includes his wife, Jaci of El Dorado; children Jenny Lea Burtin of Halstead and Scott Burtin of El Dorado; grandchildren Briar Robinson and Kye Stephenson; brother Jody Burtin and sister Lisa Simmons; beloved Aunt and Uncle Leland & Mary Lou Marley and daughter-in-law Kandi Busse. Kelly passed away on May 21, 2019 in Wichita. He is preceded in death by his parents, niece Tessa Simmons and best friend Mr. Leon. A Celebration of Life Party will be held on Friday, June 28 at 1pm at True Lies in El Dorado. Memorial contributions may be directed to the grandchildren’s education in care of Jaci.
