Joseph "Joe" Kravitz II

Joseph “Joe” A. Kravitz’s life began on August 23, 1949, in Wichita, KS; the son of Joseph A. and Mary Elizabeth (Rollings) Kravitz, Sr. Joe earned his bachelor’s degree from Friends University in Wichita. He was united in marriage to Glenda Leedy on May 3, 1977 in Wichita. Joe faithfully served his community working for several police departments including the Sedgwick County Sherriff’s Department for 29 years, the Wichita Police Department for 7 years and most recently as a Sherriff’s Deputy for the Butler County Sherriff’s Department for 14 years. When Joe was not serving his community he enjoyed fishing and competitive shooting. He especially enjoyed picking on his grandchildren. His greatest joy was his family which includes his wife, Glenda; children Angela King of Wichita, Amanda (Ralph) Marler of Towanda, Joseph Kravitz of Wichita; grandchildren Ashton, Aiden, Tea`, Kaitlien, Kasey, Kody, and Acelynn. Joe passed away on July 1, 2019 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Towanda.
