Jimmie Ruth Brown

Jimmie’s life began on August 18, 1945 in Cherry Valley, AR; the daughter of Willie and Cecelia E. (Winters) Jones. She was united in marriage to Carmel Brown on June 17, 1961 in Wichita. Jimmie was a friend to all and was always willing to lend an ear or a hand to a friend in need. She enjoyed fishing and finding treasures at garage sales. She had a great sense of humor and was always happy. Jimmie enjoyed traveling to visit her sisters as well. Her greatest love in life was her family which includes her husband Carmel, of Leon; daughter Susan (James III) Beckley of Augusta; son Brian (Barbara) Brown of El Dorado; grandchildren James (Coleen) Beckley IV, Brandon (Colleen) Beckley, Neil (Kasey) Beaman, Sr., Brandie (Matt) Stineman, Michael Beaman, Lukas (Kimberly) Brown, Tasha Cooper, Shelby Brown, Sage Brown, Neil Brown; brother Herman (Connie) Jones of Wichita, sisters Patty Morris of Crane, MO, Shirley (Danny) Barron of Jonesboro, AR and 17 great-grandchildren. Jimmie passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents. Friends may gather with the family at 11 am on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Leon Cemetery where a graveside service will be held.
