Jean Frisbie was born on May 4, 1928 on a family farm in Chase County, Ks; the daughter of Sam and Blanche (Pinkston) Ludwig. She was a graduate from Clements High School in a small class of three; which included herself and her late husband, George. On January 11, 1946 Jean married George Frisbie in Emporia, Kansas. Jean loved to square dance, travel (especially to Montana and Colorado) and doing yardwork. She worked for 20 years as a cook for USD 490. Her greatest joy in life was her family which includes her son, Scott (Dana) Frisbie of Towanda; grandchildren, Josh Hertel, Andi Hertel, Jacob Frisbie, Jessie Frisbie, Derek Kling and Danielle Kling; seven great grandchildren and siblings, Helen Barnes of Wichita and Ronald (Bunk) Ludwig of Florence. Jean passed away on June 9, 2022 in El Dorado. She is preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Beverly Hertel; granddaughter, Tiffini Hertel and sister, Carol Karlowski. Friends may gather with family on Thursday, June 16 at Carlson Colonial Chapel from 9-10 am; her funeral service will follow immediately after. Burial will be at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
