Janice’s life began on May 19, 1932 in Garner, Iowa; the daughter of Ray L. and Elsie (Liscomb) Harris. She graduated El Dorado high school and met the love of her life, Gerald McIntosh while working on the pipeline in payroll/bookkeeper in Vicksburg, Mississippi. They were united in marriage on August 30, 1950. Janice had a passion for her family and keeping her home. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. Janice loved her dogs. She enjoyed reading novels, cooking and watching Westerns, especially if John Wayne was in them. Her greatest joy was her family, which includes her children: Randy (Judy) McIntosh of El Dorado, Raylene (Darryl) Wise of Clearwater, KS; and Jerry (Mary) McIntosh of Hope Mills, NC; 4 grandchildren Jennifer (Roger) Knowles, Randall (Sarah) McIntosh Jr., Sonni (Derek) Klufa and Shelby (Kelly) Schauf; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild; sisters-in-law Beverly Fader and Susan Povondra, Debora Harris and brother-in-law, Verlin McIntosh. Janice passed away on September 11, 2022 in Whitewater, KS. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; her parents; sister Beverly Phillips and brother, Larry Harris.
