Jaci LeAnn Burtin

Jaci’s life began on October 2, 1970 in Hillsboro, KS; the daughter of Daryl Brooks and Ruth Richmond-Brooks. From an early age, Jaci had a passion for education and earned a bachelor’s degree in education. She worked hard for her family and taught many students throughout her 30 year career as an educator. Jaci loved making Mason jar lights, candles and crafting. She loved cabin camping and spending time with family and friends. Jaci especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her loving family includes her step-daughter, Jenny (Levi) Smith of Augusta; grandchildren Kye Stephenson, Briar Robinson, Gatlin Smith and Jentry Smith; parents Daryl (Connie) Brooks of Marion, KS and Ruth Richmond-Brooks of Florence, KS; sister Laci (David) Bowles of Council Grove; step-brothers, Kelly (Heather) Steiner of Lincolnville, KS and Kevin (Rachel) Steiner of Wichita, KS; nieces and nephews, Kati Bacon of Florence and Scotty (Brittni) Bowles of Council Grove. Jaci passed away on July 9, 2022 in El Dorado. She is preceded in death by her husband Kelly and baby boy, Austin. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in the fall.
