Ineta’s life began on February 8, 1940 in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She is the daughter of Ewing and Maude (Green) Halliburton. Ineta was united in marriage to Ernest Barker on August 14, 1959 in Mountain Grove and they were married 45 years before Ernest passed away. Ineta was outgoing and friendly. She enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, attending her grandchildren’s events and her flowers. Ineta took care of her grandchildren from birth and that was her job- taking care of her family. She loved collecting Beanie Babies and all sorts of knick-knacks. Ineta’s loving family includes her children James (Shannon) Barker of Mt. Vernon, MO, Arthur Barker of Lake George, CO, and Karen (Ed) Ketley of El Dorado; her grandchildren Jon Barker, Tony (Lindsey) Barker, Danielle (Matt) Taylor, Kylie Ketley and Brayden Ketley; great grandchildren Bentley Taylor, Eric Barker, Ember Barker, Haven Barker and Gabriel Barker; and her brother Richard (Pat) Halliburton of Battlefield, MO. Ineta passed away at her home on July 18, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest, grandson Eric Barker, and siblings Fern, Wilma, Leland, and Athea. Her family will gather with friends on Sunday from 1-3 p.m.at the Carlson Colonial Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday led by Pastor Mik King of the First United Methodist Church. Ineta will be laid to rest in Lone Star Cemetery in Mountain Grove, MO on Monday at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Kansas Humane Society.
