Ima Jean Autry

Ima Jean Autry’s life began on February 6, 1932 in Silverton, TX; the daughter of Henry and Mamie (Mosley) Morris, the youngest of 12. She was united in marriage to Kenneth N. Autry on March 26, 1948 in Plainview, TX. Jean had a servant spirit and worked hard for her family. She owned and operated Commercial Cleaning for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and volunteering her time with the American Red Cross—cooking for countless blood drives and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved helping others. Jean loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her loving family includes her children Kay (David) Riggle of El Dorado, David (Cindy) Autry of Mulvane and Nancy Autry of El Dorado; grandchildren Judi, Amy, Lori, Becky, Jennifer, James, Brett, Brian and Tyson; 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; brother Alvie Morris of Cushing, OK. Jean passed away on October 20, 2020 in El Dorado. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, great grandson Ryan Short, 8 sisters and 2 brothers and her parents. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 26 at Indian Creek Cemetery in Tioga, Texas at 11am. Memorial contributions in Jean’s name may be directed to the American Red Cross-Wichita Chapter or The Bradford Library in El Dorado.
