Hunter Cade Griffin

August 29, 1997 ~ September 30, 2019 (age 22)

Hunter Cade Griffin "Bear" beloved son and brother, entered into the loving embrace of God on September 30, 2019. He was born August 29, 1997, to Richard and Shari Griffin, in Wichita, Kansas. Hunter was home schooled from age 4 through High School and attended Butler Community College and Benedictine College. He was an aspiring writer, inventor of cool things, musician, sailor, artist, black belt and the boy with not only the biggest muscles, but also the biggest heart. He will be forever remembered for his love of Christ, his love for his family, as well as his kindness and compassion. He was a lover of souls, driven to bring others to Christ and said, "I just want to be Jesus to others".

His dreams were to move to the beach and teach sailing lessons, rescue as many people as he could from their difficulties and change the world. His greatest virtues were his humility, his intelligence and his strength, all of which he thanked God for daily. In addition, he was especially proud of his personal records of 675lb squat, 500lb dead lift and a 435lb bench press.

We are so blessed with the gift of his life. Everyone who knew him will forever be inspired by the beauty and truth in which he lived.

Hunter is survived by his parents, Richard and Shari Griffin; sisters, Hayden and Helaina; brothers, Heaton and Grant; "Mema", Donna McCoy-Green (Alan Green); and an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Hunter is preceeded in death by his "Papa", Larry McCoy; Grandmother, Charlene Bartlett; Grandfathers, David Bartlett and Frank Griffin.

"Great are You, O Lord, and greatly to be praised; great is Your power, and of Your wisdom there is no end. And man, being a part of Your creation, desires to praise You - man, who bears about with him his morality, the witness of his sin, even the witness that You resist the proud, - yet man, this part of Your creation, desires to praise You. You move us to delight in praising You; for You have made us for Yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You". -St. Augustine
