Harold’s life began on August 8, 1933, the son of Orville C. and Esther F. (Dobbs) Taylor in Udall, Kansas. He graduated from Udall High Class of 1951. On February 10, 1952, he married Emma Jane Chavis of Lumberton, North Carolina in Gainesville, Texas. From this union six children were born.
He worked for Clell Barb for several years, Sunflower Roofing for 25 years, then after retirement he worked for Don’s Heating and Air for a few years. Harold was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting and camping.
His loving family includes his wife, Emma Jane of the home; children and their spouses, Wayne (Kay) Taylor of El Dorado, Debbie (Mo) Haled of Bel Aire, Kansas, Richard (Ruth Ann) Taylor of El Dorado, Cindy (Don) Hamilton of Eureka, Kansas and Alan (Dawne) Taylor of El Dorado; sister, Dorothy Phillip of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Linda Taylor; and a sister, Norma Jean Pullman.
Harold passed away, Sunday, December 9, 2018, having reached the age of 85 years old.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. A private family burial will be held in Udall, Kansas.
