Harley’s life began on May 29, 1943 in rural Leon, KS; the son of William and Carrie (Ades) Gray. Harley worked many years for Asmussen Oil Company until he accepted a position at Butler County Department of Engineering until his retirement. He was united in marriage to Myrna Pendlay on June 1, 1963 in El Dorado. Harley loved nature and especially enjoyed fishing. His greatest joy was his family, which includes his wife, Myrna of Augusta; children Deborah (Kevin) Lawrence of Eureka, Denise (David) Donley of Zionsville, IN, James (Alycia) Gray of Italy; grandchildren Sarah, Evan Lawrence, Madison and Jake Donley, and Hank Gray; and brother, Leroy Gray of Wichita. Harley passed away on October 20, 2021 in Wichita. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rosa Elliott; brothers Edwin and Delbert Gray. Friends may gather from 9-11am on Monday, October 25 at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held at 11am.
