Doreen Alvarez

Grace “Doreen” Alvarez’s life began on December 16, 1957 in El Dorado, KS; the daughter of Phillip E. and Lila J. (Sullivan) Martin. She worked hard for her family and always took care of everyone. She was strong willed and she wore her heart on her sleeve. Doreen was united in marriage to Ysidro Alvarez on February 14, 1980 in El Dorado. She enjoyed camping and crafts, coloring and crocheting gifts for family and friends. When she was able, Doreen loved to ride horses and was an excellent shot with a BB gun. Her greatest joy was her family, which includes her children: Phillip Dill, Wendy (Denzil) Davis, Dori (Chris) Bowlin, Lila Alvarez, Emi Alvarez, Isidro Alvarez, Jr; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister, Sherry Edwards. Doreen passed away on August 2, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ysidro, son Clyde Lee Dill, Jr. and her parents. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, at 10am at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Carlson Colonial Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
