Gerald Alfred Potvin

Jerry’s life began on December 7, 1934, the son of Adelard and Albertine (Dubois) Potvin in Auburn, Maine. While serving at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas, he met Corrine Lewis. He married Corinne Marie Lewis on August 23, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas. They celebrated 60 years together last month. Jerry retired from Boeing as a crane operator. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling, boating, and fishing.

His loving family includes his wife, Corinne Potvin of El Dorado; children, Mark (Gina) Potvin of Topeka, Michael (Marsha) Potvin of Wichita, Maria, (Darrell) Douglas of Wichita, Eric (Carla) Potvin of Wichita, Jim (Adrianne) Potvin of McDade, Texas, Christine Nguyen of Wichita, and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Potvin of Wichita; brother, Richard “Joseph” Potvin of Townsend, Massachusetts; sister, Dorothy Levasseur of Lewiston, Massachusetts; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; children, Roger, Kenneth, Patrick and Mary Potvin; brother, Robert Potvin; grandsons, Jeremy Douglas; great-grandson, Christian Douglas.

A graveside service at Calvary Cemetery in Wichita is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be payable to Robert J. Dole VA – Hospice Unit, and mailed to: Robert J.
