Gerald’s life began on August 27, 1938 in Mayflower, AR. He is the son of Charles Irwin and Emma (Adams) Martin. Gerald is a 1956 graduate of Wichita East High. He was united in marriage to Cynthia Albernaz on June 26, 1971 in Wichita. Gerald worked as a sheet metal journeyman for many years in Wichita. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. His loving family includes his wife Cynthia of El Dorado, children Tammy (Bob) Lanning of Abbeville, Gerald Martin of Dodge City, Toby (Pamela) Martin of Lee Summit, MO and Carrie (Bryan) Daniels of El Dorado; grandchildren Chayanne, Cody, Emaneul, Toby, Bailey, Trinity, Emma, Ava and Alex; siblings Wanda Adams, Raymond (Helen) Martin, Charlene Runge, Charles (Susan) Martin and several nieces and nephews. Gerald passed away at home on Sunday December 30, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents. His family will gather with friends on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 12-1 p.m. at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home where his funeral service will begin at 1p.m. led by Chaplain Terry Deaver.
