Georgia Mae (Cornett) Golden was born on September 4, 1937, in Ava, Missouri. The daughter of Wyman and Alta (Wilson) Cornett. She graduated from Springfield, Missouri, Class of 1957, and married Raymond A. Golden.
She loved her family and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar by ear. She also loved cooking, gardening and playing cards.
Her loving family includes her ex-husband, Ray Golden; children, Jo (Don) Reynolds of Columbus, Kansas, Kelli Monson of Baxter Springs, Kansas, Lea (Tam Osgood) Golden of Kansas City, Missouri, Marti (Brent) Wheeler of Neodesha, Kansas; sisters, Betty Devine of Springfield, Missouri, Lucille (Tom) Telford of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 5 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wyman & Alta, sister, Rosalie Owens and nephew, Bobby Jo Devine. Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, September 24, 2018, having reached the age of 81 years old.
Services will be held at Greenlawn North Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri on Friday, September 28, at 1:00 P.M burial following to Robberson Prairie Cemetery.
