George J Fagg

George’s life began on August 3, 1924, the son of George and Lola M. (Serene) Fagg. He graduated high school in Welda, Kansas. George faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Teresa “Terry” Pickert on August 7, 1948 and have celebrated 70 years of marriage. George was a faithful parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where he devoted countless hours assisting as a sacristan and other various positions within the church. George was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. George enjoyed his McDonald’s Coffee Group and passing the time with friends. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. George’s loving family includes his wife Terry of El Dorado; children Michael (Debbie) Fagg of El Dorado, Lueata (Jerry) Evanson of Spring, TX, George E. (Pam) Wells of Victoria, MN; grandchildren Jennifer (Shane) Stobart, Meghann (Ryan) Ewy, Kellie (Abby) Fagg, Zachary (Angie) Evanson, Ashley (Skip) Wayland, Luresa (Anthony) Provanzano, Andrea (Rudy) Keller, Rob Wells, and Kyle Wells and 14 great-grandchildren. George passed away on November 21, 2018 at Lakepoint of El Dorado surrounded by his family. George is preceded in death by his daughter Monica Rose, his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Friends may gather with the family from 5-7 pm at Carlson Funeral Home on Monday, November 26, where a rosary service will be led by Fr. John Lanzrath at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in El Dorado on Tuesday, November 27. George will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, directed to the poor.
