Francis " Frank" Canfield

Francis’ life began on August 15, 1929, the son of Ralph and Katherine (Crow) Canfield in Hutchinson, Kansas. He graduated from Hutchinson High School Class of 1947, and married June V. (Perkins) Smith on August 17, 1947, also in Hutchinson. He retired from Boeing as a small parts quality control inspector. Frank was a member of the Masonic Lodge – Joppa 223 in Leon, Kansas. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, camping and farming.

His loving family includes his daughter, Kristen Walker (Frank Cabrales) of Augusta; son, David (Laurie) Canfield of Augusta; sister, Cheryl Canfield of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Frank (Amy) Walker, Jason (Mary) Walker, Scott (Stella) Canfield, Alicia (Anthony) Craft, Michelle (Tim) Davis, and Gary Suits; many great and great-great-grandchildren.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June in 2011; step-mother, Evelyn Canfield; brother, William Canfield; step-son, Jon Smith; infant son, Francis Canfield, Jr.

Francis passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 3, 2018, having reached the age of 88 years old.
