Edith’s life began on July 10, 1932 in Haddam, KS. She is the daughter of Herman W. and Julia (Dublin) Moore. Edith was united in marriage to Donald R. Williams in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1992. She remarried in 2013 to Dale Wilson. She met Donald working at Beechcraft together and later moved to Beloit where she was a shoe cobbler running her father’s business and ran a western store; she and her husband sponsored rodeos and were involved in sponsoring midget class racecars. Edith also worked at the Kansas Oil Museum for several years where she became acquainted with her current husband Dale. Edith was an animal lover and had many cats and dogs over the years. Her loving family includes her husband Dale of El Dorado, step children Garry (Joyce) Wilson of Olpe, Beverly Vanderpool of Rosalia, Vicky Vogleman of Andover, Linda (Jerry) Wilson of El Dorado, and Roger (Linda) Call of El Dorado; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Edith passed away at her home on Thursday December 13, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, two brothers, two sisters and several beloved relatives. Her family will gather with friends on Monday December 13, 2018 at the First Christian Church in El Dorado from 10-11a.m. with her funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Stan Seymour. Edith will be laid to rest in Sunset Lawns Cemetery. Carlson Colonial Funeral Home is serving the family.
