Eddie Gene Luce

Eddie’s life began on May 3, 1951, the son of George and Thelma (Graves) Luce in El Dorado. He is a 1971 graduate of El Dorado High School. Eddie worked for Pioneer Balloon Company for over 10 years retiring from working in the warehouse and on the production lines. Eddie had sense of humor, a heart of gold and was the life of the party. He enjoyed motorcycles and always wanted Harley Davidson. He especially enjoyed keeping up with family and friends on Facebook. Eddie also had a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty and bald eagles. Eddie passed away on February 22, 2019 in Wichita. His loving family includes his children Rochelle Barker of Wichita, Shandi (Shawn) Moolhuysen of San Angelo, TX, and Shane Luce of South Dakota; grandchildren Matthew Harrison, Brianna Rhoten, Allen “A.J.” Jones, Priscilla Harrell, Mason Luce, Jayce Jones, and Theresa Comeau; his nieces and his brother Larry Luce of El Dorado. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Wesley Stewart. Friends may gather on Thursday, February 28 at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home from 5-6pm where his memorial service will be held at 6pm. Memorial contributions in Eddie’s name may be directed to Friends of El Dorado Lake for wildlife conservation.
